God is Not Great

How Religion Poisons Everything

The provocative bestseller from Britain's foremost controversial thinker is now available in paperback; the hardback edition has sold 50,000 copies to date. In a series of acute readings of the major religious texts, Hitchens demonstrates the ways in which religion is man-made, dangerously sexually repressive and distorts the very origins of the cosmos. There will be even more media coverage for this mass market edition, which will appeal to fans of Richard Dawkins. 'The anti-religious case has never been put so well, so comprehensively or so definitively as in this razor-sharp book.' A.C. Grayling, "Independent On Sunday"
Rezension
Do yourself a favor and skip the Dawkins and Harris; they're smug, turgid, and boring, with all the human feeling of a tax return. Read Hitchens instead... A tendentious delight, a caustic and even brilliant book... Thank God for Christopher Hitchens. Mark Warren Esquire

God (god) is not Great
von einer Kundin/einem Kunden aus Köln am 20.04.2019
Bewertet: Einband: Taschenbuch

The book is very informative, although who already was listening to his speeches, interviews and all that, probably already knows atleast 25% of the content. And it could be written a bit shorter, I give four stars to everyone that is not deep in such topics. For me it would be a 3 star rating.
