Beschreibung

'Epic in every sense' - Sunday Times

The first novel in the Wheel of Time series - one of the most influential and popular fantasy epics ever published.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again.

But one truth remains, and what mortal men forget, the Aes Sedai do not . . .

What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Robert Jordan

Now, nearly two years after Brandon Sanderson finished the work of the late Robert Jordan, TOR books published a new paperback edition of the series. Despite the new covers nothing really changed though and it's still the same wonderful story about three teenage boys becoming men, battling not only their own lives and fates but the future of the whole world. "The Eye of the World" starts very much like its main inspiration "The Lord of the RIngs" - which isn't a bad thing because over the course of the journey the reader will see just how different Jordan's world and writing is. Maybe not larger then Middle-Earth or better, but just way longer.
